Construction Begins on First Phase of Rivertrail Project in Downtown Snoqualmie

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

Construction on the Rivertrail project in downtown Snoqualmie launched on October 20, 2025. The first phase, Rivertrail Northwest, will create a one-mile trail stretching from Kimball Creek to Northern Street, while restoring the riverbank. This initiative seeks to remove flood-prone properties from the Snoqualmie riverfront and develop a three-mile loop trail connecting Snoqualmie Falls to historic downtown. The project, previously known as the Riverwalk, aims to enhance access to natural areas and support local ecology by restoring riparian habitats. Completion of the Rivertrail Northwest section is expected by summer 2026.

City officials emphasize the importance of this project for improving community recreation and flood management. The Rivertrail will also facilitate future connections to other trails in the area. Residents can find more information on the project through the city's official website.
