Steady rain will begin on Friday, while Saturday and Sunday will feature more intermittent showers. Wind conditions will also escalate, starting with gusts around 20 mph on Friday. On Saturday, morning gusts may reach 30-35 mph, with a possibility of 45 mph gusts later in the day according to one model. Residents should take precautions by securing outdoor items that could be blown away and preparing for potential power outages.

This event marks the first significant wind occurrence of the season in the region. Historically, the Snoqualmie Valley has seen varying impacts from southerly winds, which typically do not affect the area as much. Local meteorologists emphasize the need for preparedness as weather patterns shift.
