City Academy Relaunches this October Go Behind the Scenes to Learn about City Operations

The City of Snoqualmie relaunches its City Academy, a free six-week program aimed at educating residents about local government operations. The academy starts on October 1, 2025, and will cover various departments, including public works, police, and fire services. Mayor Katherine Ross emphasizes, “A more informed community is a more involved community,” underlining the program's importance in fostering civic engagement. Participants will benefit from interactive sessions, tours of city facilities, and discussions on critical topics like land use and emergency management. The program is open to residents aged 18 and older, with a maximum of 15 participants to ensure a personalized experience.

Interested residents should apply early, as another session may be scheduled in Spring 2026 if demand exceeds capacity. The City Academy aims to build stronger connections between local leaders and community members, enhancing understanding of how tax dollars are utilized.
