City Academy Relaunches this October Go Behind the Scenes to Learn about City Operations

The City of Snoqualmie is relaunching its City Academy, providing residents an opportunity to understand local government operations through a six-week program starting October 1, 2025. Each week, a different department will host sessions, allowing participants to engage with city leaders and ask questions. Mayor Katherine Ross highlighted the importance of the academy in fostering community connections and transparency about how tax dollars are utilized. The curriculum includes interactive sessions and tours, covering essential topics like budgeting and emergency management. Open to residents aged 18 and older, the program is capped at 15 participants to ensure an intimate learning environment.

Interested individuals are encouraged to register early, as another session may be offered in Spring 2026 if demand is high. Registration is available online through the city’s official website. The City Academy aims to create a more informed and involved community, strengthening ties between residents and local government.
