City Academy Relaunches this October Go Behind the Scenes to Learn about City Operations

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The City of Snoqualmie relaunches its City Academy program this fall to provide residents with insights into local government operations. The six-week program, beginning on October 1, 2025, offers an opportunity for participants to meet city leaders and gain knowledge about various city services. Each week focuses on a different department, including public works, police, and fire services, allowing residents to ask questions and engage directly with officials. Mayor Katherine Ross highlights the initiative as a means to foster community connection and understanding of tax dollar allocation. The program is open to residents aged 18 and older, with participation capped at 15 to maintain an interactive environment.

Interested individuals should apply early, as a second session may be scheduled for Spring 2026 if interest is high. Registration for the program is available online through the City of Snoqualmie's official website. The curriculum includes tours of city facilities and discussions on topics such as land use and emergency management.
