Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will close the Snoqualmie Parkway/SR 18 on-ramp to westbound I-90 continuously from 9 pm on Friday, Oct. 3, to 5 am on Monday, Oct. 6. Drivers are advised to expect delays and utilize signed detours or alternate routes to access westbound I-90. Crews will work around the clock to grind and grade the ramp in preparation for its final configuration, which includes installing permanent ramp metering and guardrails.

Moreover, the on-ramp to eastbound I-90 will experience nightly closures from 9 pm to 5 am from Oct. 1 to 3 for guardrail installation and landscaping. This closure is part of the I-90/SR 18 Interchange Improvements project, which aims to enhance traffic flow and safety by widening SR 18 to two lanes in each direction between I-90 and Deep Creek. The project is expected to finish later this fall, improving connectivity for Snoqualmie residents. Real-time travel information can be accessed via the WSDOT mobile app and through email updates.

This initiative highlights the ongoing efforts to upgrade critical transportation infrastructure in the region.
