Travel Advisory Westbound I-90 Reduced to One Lane in Issaquah, Sept. 26-28

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will implement lane closures on westbound I-90 near Issaquah from 7 pm Friday, Sept. 26, to 8 am Sunday, Sept. 28. Up to three right lanes will be closed, with the Front Street on-ramp also shut down, directing motorists to the 270th Avenue SE/SE High Point Way on-ramp. The lane reduction is necessary for crews to replace aging pavement and waterproof membranes on the bridges in the area, following similar repairs made the previous weekend.

Travelers should prepare for significant delays and a reduced speed limit of 45 mph during the work. The bridge repairs aim to extend the lifespan of structures originally built in 1970 and 1971. WSDOT has scheduled another lane reduction for the weekend of Oct. 10–12 to complete the necessary work. Real-time travel information is available through the WSDOT mobile app and travel map.

This project is part of a broader initiative to enhance pavement along westbound I-90 in Issaquah.
