The Snoqualmie Fire Department and Snoqualmie Valley Health will host a free class on recognizing and reversing fentanyl overdoses on September 18, 2025, at the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital. This initiative responds to a dramatic increase in fentanyl use and overdose deaths in the region, particularly among individuals aged 14-45. The training will educate participants on the risks associated with opioids and provide essential life-saving techniques. Parents, caregivers, and young adults are encouraged to attend to better safeguard themselves and others against potential overdoses. Key topics include the fentanyl public health crisis, signs of overdose, and the protections offered by Good Samaritan Laws.

The course is limited to 40 participants, emphasizing the importance of timely registration. Interested individuals can register online or contact the fire department for more information. This educational effort aims to equip the community with vital knowledge to combat the opioid crisis effectively.
