Travel Advisory Westbound I-90 Reduced to One Lane in Issaquah, Sept. 26-28

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will close up to three right lanes of westbound I-90 near Front Street North from 7 pm Friday, Sept. 26, to 8 am Sunday, Sept. 28. Only one lane will remain open for traffic during this period, which allows crews to replace aging pavement and waterproof membranes on bridges in Issaquah. The Front Street on-ramp to westbound I-90 will also close, with a signed detour guiding drivers to the 270th Avenue SE/SE High Point Way on-ramp.

Significant delays are expected, especially during busy travel times, and travelers are advised to consider alternate routes. The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph in the work zone to enhance safety. Crews are scheduled to reduce traffic to a single lane for one more weekend, tentatively slated for Oct. 10–12, to finish bridge repairs. These repairs aim to extend the bridges' useful life, originally built in 1970 and 1971.

Real-time travel information is accessible through the WSDOT mobile app and website.
