The City of Snoqualmie announces the relaunch of its City Academy, a free program designed to inform residents about local government operations. The six-week program begins on October 1, 2025, and includes interactive sessions with various city departments, such as public works and emergency services. Mayor Katherine Ross stated that the academy allows residents to understand how their tax dollars are utilized and the challenges faced by local officials. The curriculum includes facility tours and discussions on topics such as land use and planning, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of city governance. The program is open to residents aged 18 and older, with a limit of 15 participants to ensure a meaningful experience.

Interested residents can register online, and if demand exceeds capacity, a spring session may be added. The academy fosters community involvement by empowering residents with knowledge about city services and decision-making processes. This initiative reflects the city's commitment to building stronger connections with its residents.
