The City of Snoqualmie relaunches its City Academy, offering a free six-week program for residents to explore local government operations. The program begins on October 1, 2025, and features weekly sessions led by various city departments, including public works, police, and fire services. Mayor Katherine Ross emphasizes the initiative's role in building stronger community ties and enhancing civic engagement. Participants will gain hands-on experience, understanding the city's structure, budget, and strategic goals. The curriculum includes tours, discussions on land use, and emergency management topics.

Open to residents aged 18 and older, the academy is limited to 15 participants to ensure an intimate learning environment. Registration is available online, with early sign-up strongly recommended due to potential high interest. A second session may be offered in Spring 2026 if necessary.
