City Academy Relaunches this October Go Behind the Scenes to Learn about City Operations

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The City of Snoqualmie relaunches its City Academy, a free program designed for residents to learn about local government operations. Starting October 1, 2025, this six-week program offers insights into city services through interactive sessions and department tours. Each week focuses on a different department, allowing participants to engage with city leaders and understand the workings behind community services. Mayor Katherine Ross highlighted the significance of fostering community involvement through education, aiming for a more engaged citizenry. The academy is capped at 15 participants, prompting residents to apply early, with the possibility of an additional session in Spring 2026 if there is high demand.

Sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings, with one Saturday morning session at the Public Works facility. Interested residents can register online via the city’s website. This initiative aims to build stronger connections between residents and local government while enhancing the understanding of city operations.
