City Academy Relaunches this October Go Behind the Scenes to Learn about City Operations

The City of Snoqualmie is set to relaunch its City Academy this October, providing residents with insights into local government operations. This free, six-week program includes sessions led by various city departments, from public works to emergency management, allowing participants to engage directly with city leaders. Mayor Katherine Ross stated, "A more informed community is a more involved community," highlighting the program's role in fostering civic engagement. The academy will take place on Wednesday evenings from October 1 to November 5, 2025, with one Saturday morning session. The curriculum features interactive discussions and tours, covering topics such as budgeting and land use.

Participation is open to residents aged 18 and older, with a maximum of 15 attendees to ensure an intimate learning environment. Registration is available online, and if interest exceeds capacity, additional sessions may be offered in Spring 2026. This initiative aims to strengthen the bond between the city government and its residents.
