Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The City of Snoqualmie relaunches its City Academy this fall, offering residents a free six-week program to understand local government operations. Starting on October 1 and concluding on November 5, 2025, participants will engage with various city departments each week, including public works, police, and fire services. Mayor Katherine Ross stated that the program strengthens connections between residents and local government, fostering a more informed and involved community. The curriculum comprises interactive sessions, facility tours, and discussions on topics such as land use and emergency management. Open to Snoqualmie residents aged 18 and older, the academy is capped at 15 participants to ensure an engaging experience.

Interested individuals should apply early, as another session may be offered in Spring 2026 if interest warrants. The program aims to provide residents with insights into how their tax dollars are utilized and the challenges faced by city officials. Online registration is available through the City of Snoqualmie's official website.
