Thrasher Avenue Sidewalk Construction Begins in Early September

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

Construction is set to begin the week of September 2 on Thrasher Avenue NE to enhance pedestrian safety in North Bend. Fury SiteWorks will build a new sidewalk, curb, and gutter while upgrading the stormwater system. This project is one of four Sidewalk Gap Removal efforts planned for completion this fall, which aim to fill missing sidewalk sections and repair damaged ones throughout the city. In addition to the new sidewalk, there will be safety enhancements at the intersection of North Bend Way and Thrasher Avenue. Temporary lane closures will take place during construction, with the city aiming to have the sidewalk and adjacent asphalt trail accessible by mid-October.

The City of North Bend appreciates the community's patience and encourages residents to reach out to Project Engineer Mike Mayen with any inquiries. More information on the four projects can be found in the City’s news release on its website. Residents can also sign up for updates on local transportation projects through the Notify Me subscription tool.
