The Snoqualmie Indian Tribe marked a significant achievement with the ribbon-cutting of its Harvest Kitchen and Greenhouse Classroom, enhancing food sovereignty and community wellness. Situated on the Tribal Administration Campus, these facilities are part of a broader childcare expansion project serving 54 children. Treasurer Joshua Gabel noted the project's role in preserving Snoqualmie lifeways, thanking various contributors during the ceremony attended by over 50 local officials and community leaders. U. S.

Representative Kim Schrier emphasized the center's value for local families, providing essential childcare and early education opportunities. The facilities will also facilitate hands-on learning in plant care and traditional cooking, while serving the broader community through various cultural events. The project garnered over $2 million in funding, with $1. 5 million from federal sources. The Snoqualmie Tribe, recognized as the People of the Moon, aims to sustain its cultural practices for generations to come.
