Duvall Passport Program Brings Community Together Through Farm Tours and Local History
The Duvall Passport program, launched on August 1, 2025, aims to reconnect residents with their agricultural roots by promoting farm visits and historical exploration. Within weeks, organizers ordered a second batch of passports due to overwhelming community interest. Funded by a $10,000 grant from Washington State Tourism, the initiative was spearheaded by City Administrator Cynthia McNabb and the Duvall Historical Society. Participants earn rewards by collecting stamps from various farms and historical sites, with prizes including a limited-edition coin and an “I survived the Duvall Passport tour” t-shirt. Monthly challenges on social media further engage the community, with prizes sourced from local farms.
The program accommodates diverse farming seasons, advising participants to plan their visits accordingly. Lauren Zetting, a board member of the Duvall Historical Society, emphasized the excitement and engagement from the community. This initiative not only fosters local heritage appreciation but also strengthens community ties.
