Snoqualmie Residents Rate Quality of Life Highly in Community Survey, Economic Development Identified as Focus Area

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

In the 2025 Community Survey, Snoqualmie residents expressed high satisfaction with their quality of life, safety, and access to nature. Conducted by Polco, Inc. , the survey included responses from 363 households and revealed that economic development and transportation require additional focus. Mayor Katherine Ross stated the importance of aligning city investments with community priorities based on survey results. Compared to more than 500 communities nationwide, Snoqualmie received 40 higher ratings, indicating strong performance.

Notable improvements included a 17% boost in traffic signal timing satisfaction and a 12% increase in snow removal satisfaction, linked to recent staffing enhancements. However, garbage collection satisfaction fell by 15%, coinciding with a new contract that raised rates by approximately 39%. The survey results will shape Snoqualmie's first strategic plan, which is currently in development with Berk Consulting. The final plan is expected to be adopted in November, addressing identified economic concerns and prioritizing transportation improvements.
