Road and Trail Closures Planned for Snoqualmie Valley Area

Residents in Snoqualmie Valley will experience significant transportation disruptions due to a bridge closure and trail maintenance. The Stossel Bridge on NE Carnation Farm Road over the Snoqualmie River will close on August 28 from 8:30 a. m. to 3:30 p. m.

for regular maintenance. During this time, emergency vehicles will retain access, while all other traffic must follow detours via NE 124th Street, West Snoqualmie Valley Road, and SR 203. In addition, King County Parks will shut down a section of the Snoqualmie Valley Trail from September 2 through October 10 to repair two trestle bridges. This six-week closure will not offer detours for trail users, impacting local recreation. County officials request patience from residents as they work on these critical infrastructure improvements, which will enhance safety and longevity.

The Stossel Bridge maintenance aims to ensure safe transit for vehicles, while the trail repairs will extend the lifespan of recreational pathways. Both projects are vital for the community's transportation and outdoor activities.
