SR 18 Over Tiger Mountain to Fully Close August 1518 for Construction and Maintenance

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

State Route 18 will close from 9 p. m. August 15 to 5 a. m. August 18 for construction and maintenance activities.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is coordinating multiple projects to improve safety and traffic flow along this busy corridor. During the closure, crews will work on grinding, paving, and installing guardrails as part of the I-90/SR 18 Interchange Improvements project, which aims to expand SR 18 to two lanes in each direction by fall 2025. Local traffic will be permitted south of I-90, but semi-trucks and freight vehicles must detour via I-405 and I-90 due to unsuitable local routes. WSDOT maintenance crews will also repair guardrails, repave, and perform safety checks during this closure. By combining construction and maintenance into one weekend, WSDOT seeks to minimize future disruptions for travelers.
