DUI Pursuit Ends in Drug and Firearm Seizure After North Bend Incident

A DUI pursuit that began in North Bend on August 1 led to the arrest of a suspect from Pierce County and the recovery of significant narcotics and a stolen firearm. Officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle, resulting in a chase that concluded on SR 900 in Issaquah after deploying spike strips. The Issaquah Police Department and Washington State Patrol assisted in the operation, showcasing effective interagency cooperation. Following the arrest, officers obtained a search warrant for the vehicle, recovering nearly 60 grams of methamphetamine, 10 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, cash, and a stolen firearm. The suspect now faces multiple charges, including possession of a stolen firearm and possession with intent to deliver.

According to police, the suspect has no known ties to the Snoqualmie Valley, leaving the reason for his presence in the area unclear. This incident underscores the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces with drug-related crimes and vehicle thefts in the region.
