Summer Travel Alert I-90 Construction, Closures, and Traffic Revisions from North Bend to Vantage

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

Traffic on I-90 faces multiple disruptions between North Bend and Vantage due to construction and scheduled rock blasting. Near Snoqualmie Summit, two lanes are open as crews repair a bridge deck, with the traffic revision in place 24/7 until September. Travelers should anticipate added delays, particularly on Fridays. All lanes on I-90 across Vantage Bridge will be open from July 3 to July 8, but traffic will revert to one lane in each direction afterward until Labor Day weekend, prompting longer travel times. A one-hour rock blasting closure is set for July 10 from 8 p.

m. to 9 p. m. , affecting both directions at specific interchanges. This is currently the only rock blasting closure planned for 2025, but further notifications will be issued if additional blasts are required.

Drivers are urged to stay alert in work zones, follow detour signs, and check current travel conditions to ensure a safer trip. These ongoing projects highlight the importance of planning ahead for travel across the state this summer.
