Snohomish County Superior Court Celebrates 1,000 Graduations from Adult Recovery Court

The Snohomish County Adult Recovery Court celebrated 1,000 graduates on June 12, 2025, marking a significant achievement in supporting individuals with substance use disorders. Over the past 25 years, the program has provided essential therapeutic and legal services, changing hundreds of lives and enhancing community safety. County Executive Dave Somers highlighted the positive ripple effects on families and neighborhoods. Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Joseph Wilson stressed the program's rigorous requirements, which promote accountability among participants. Notably, 92% of graduates from 2019 have avoided new felony convictions, showcasing the program's success in reducing recidivism.

The graduates, including Michael Camacho, shared personal stories of transformation, emphasizing the life-saving impact of the program. The Adult Recovery Court operates with the support of various community partners, ensuring comprehensive assistance for participants. This collaborative model underscores the importance of community involvement in addressing substance use issues.
