Forsgren Park in Bothell celebrated the grand re-opening of its inclusive playground, marking a $610,000 investment that concluded in May 2025. The playground caters to children aged 2 to 12 and features imaginative play structures designed to exceed accessibility standards. Input from over 600 community members shaped the project's design, particularly the new surfacing that enhances accessibility. Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers praised the collaboration that brought this vision to fruition, highlighting the county's commitment to modernizing parks. Key features include sensory play elements, wheelchair-accessible equipment, and a communication board for non-verbal children.

Councilmember Jared Mead emphasized that these upgrades allow more families to enjoy inclusive recreational spaces. Additionally, the playground incorporates a smooth, safe surfacing to accommodate children using mobility devices. This initiative is part of a broader effort by Snohomish County Parks to improve play areas across the region.
