Local KSER-FM has new General Manager

KSER 90. 7 FM announced Garett Michaels as its new general manager, set to begin later this month. He takes over from Tom Clendening, who retired this spring after a 13-year tenure. Steve Ward served as the interim manager during the transition. Michaels' extensive experience includes roles in programming and management across major cities like Philadelphia, Detroit, Seattle, and San Diego.

KSER, known for its commitment to public interest broadcasting, operates from its studio in north Everett. The station aims to strengthen its community ties and enhance its programming under Michaels' leadership. This change comes as KSER continues to adapt to the evolving media landscape. The community looks forward to new initiatives that may arise from this leadership shift.

After earning her first-degree black belt and winning 35 first-place medals, she aims to qualify for the 2026 AAU Junior Olympics in Des Moines. Zayden also excels in jiu-jitsu, having won all four of her competitions since starting the sport last year.
