Road Closures Allow Bridge Replacement Projects to Finish in Single Season

Snohomish, WALocal News

Snohomish County will implement full road closures on Swamp Creek Bridge 503 and Jordan Creek Bridge 214 from late June through October to facilitate replacement projects. Access to Jordan Bridge Park will be limited to the north side of Jordan Road, where six parking stalls will remain available for visitors. Those seeking river access are encouraged to visit River Meadows Park to the north or Riverscene Park to the south of Bridge 214. Snohomish County Public Works manages approximately 1,600 miles of county roads and over 200 bridges, focusing on safety and environmental preservation. The department processes nearly 670,000 tons of garbage each year and has received numerous accolades for its work.

Completing these bridge replacements within a single season is essential for maintaining the infrastructure. The planned closures will impact local traffic patterns, prompting residents to seek alternative routes. Public Works aims to minimize disruption while enhancing the safety and reliability of the county’s transportation network.
