Drumline teams fill Glacier Peak HS

Lincoln Varsity Drumline clinched first place at the drumline competition on May 31 at Glacier Peak High School, competing against teams from several local schools. Participating schools included West Seattle, Roosevelt, Interlake, and Cedar Park Christian, among others. Roosevelt's drumline earned the award for best cymbals, while Interlake was recognized for best bass drums. Cedar Park Christian won for best tenors, and Lincoln excelled in the snares category, as reported by GP music director Tadd Morris. The event drew a significant audience, emphasizing community support for local music initiatives.

Such competitions are vital for nurturing young talent and enhancing school spirit. The West Seattle High School Drumline, among others, showcased their skills and dedication to the craft. These events not only celebrate musical achievement but also strengthen the bonds within the local educational community.
