Police search for WA bikini barista sex assault suspect

Snohomish, WALocal News

The Everett Police Department is actively investigating two sexual assaults involving bikini baristas at coffee stands located on Evergreen Way. The first incident occurred on April 6 at Ladybug Bikini Espresso, where an employee bravely defended herself against an assailant who then fled the scene. Just days later, on April 9, a similar assault was reported at Steamy Shots Espresso, with the victim providing a description that closely matched the previous suspect. Authorities are looking for a man in his 20s or 30s, standing approximately 6'3", who may have a dark mustache or small goatee. In light of these alarming events, police are increasing patrols in the area and distributing flyers to solicit public assistance in identifying the suspect.

Officer Natalie Given emphasized the importance of a prevention campaign, as there are fears the attacker could strike again. Baristas at the affected stands are taking precautions by refusing services to walk-up clients, while community members express concern over the lack of safety measures. Local mother Samantha Hankins highlighted the urgent need for better protections, stating that if baristas cannot be safeguarded while doing their jobs, it may be time to reconsider the presence of such stands in the area.
