Snohomish County Public Works Americans with Disabilities Act Advisory Committee Seeks Five New Members

Snohomish County Public Works is actively seeking five new members for its Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Public Right-of-Way Advisory Committee, with applications due by December 31, 2025. This committee provides vital feedback on ADA compliance for pedestrian facilities, ensuring equitable access for all residents. Deputy Director Doug McCormick emphasized the committee's importance in addressing diverse mobility needs. The committee consists of ten non-paid positions with a two-year term, meeting at least twice annually, with one meeting planned in-person and the other online. Applicants must be Snohomish County residents and possess a basic understanding of ADA requirements.

All selected candidates will undergo a criminal background check before appointment. Notifications for new members will occur by February 2026, with the first meeting scheduled for March 2026. More information is available on the Snohomish County Public Works ADA website.
