Snohomish County Public Works Americans with Disabilities Act Advisory Committee Seeks Five New Members

Snohomish County Public Works is actively seeking applicants for five vacancies on its Americans with Disabilities Act Public Right-of-Way Advisory Committee, with submissions due by December 31, 2025. This committee is vital for providing feedback on ADA compliance concerning pedestrian facilities, helping to ensure that all residents have equal access. Doug McCormick, Deputy Director and County Engineer, highlighted the committee's role in addressing diverse mobility needs within the county. Each member will serve a two-year term, participating in at least two meetings annually; the inaugural meeting for new members is expected in March 2026. Candidates must reside within Snohomish County and possess a fundamental understanding of ADA history and requirements.

A criminal background check is required for those selected for the committee. Interested individuals can learn more and submit their letters of interest via the county's Public Works ADA website.
