The Snohomish Zombie Walk successfully raised 1,201 pounds of food and $1,738 for the Snohomish Community Food Bank on October 30. Emcee Bill Webster II reported the impressive totals during the event, which attracted numerous participants dressed as zombies. Joanna Ghosh, a local resident, was among those enthusiastically participating, embodying the event's spirited theme. The walk, organized by the Kla Ha Ya Days Festival, encourages community participation in addressing food insecurity. This annual event not only raises funds and food but also strengthens community bonds.

Last year, the Zombie Walk collected 1,000 pounds of food, indicating a growing commitment from locals. The funds raised will directly support the food bank's ongoing efforts to assist families in need. Engaging events like this highlight the importance of community support in tackling local issues.
