Snohomish County to Celebrate Bridge Replacement with Ribbon Cutting Event

Snohomish, WALocal News

Snohomish County will celebrate the completion of the Jordan Creek Bridge 214 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 21, 2025. The new bridge, which cost $8 million, restores two-lane access for travelers and meets current design standards. County Engineer Doug McCormick emphasized that the aging timber bridge had become inadequate for modern traffic loads, requiring frequent repairs. Construction commenced in late April, with a full road closure that shortened both the construction timeline and costs. Final work is expected to finish by early November, allowing both travel lanes to open.

The event will also acknowledge the preventative maintenance on Red Bridge 537, which received funding from federal programs. Snohomish County Public Works is dedicated to enhancing safety and mobility for the community. The department oversees a vast network of roads and infrastructure, ensuring fiscal responsibility and environmental preservation.
