Voices Northwest chorus gathers every Monday at Unity Church in Lynnwood, where members partake in vocal exercises and warm-ups before singing in harmony. This group, part of Sweet Adelines International, includes women aged 29 to 91 who value the friendships and community formed through music. Founding member Barbara Hagen notes that the chorus feels like family, while Juanita Harwood shares that singing energizes her after a long day. Director Charlene O’Connor, who has over 47 years of barbershop experience, emphasizes the importance of personal growth and confidence among members. Tickets for the cabaret are available for $15, showcasing the chorus’s harmonies and the friendships that keep them singing together.
