Snohomish Fires future station along Pine Avenue will soon start to have walls coming up

Snohomish, WALocal News

Fire District 4 will soon start framing its new fire station at Fourth Street and Pine Avenue, with operations expected to commence in fall 2026. The project, budgeted at approximately $27 million, allocates around $20 million for construction costs. Funding is derived from cash reserves and debt, supported by the district's general tax levy. The new station will replace the existing Maple Avenue station, which will be repurposed for auxiliary needs. Public access to the facility will be from Fourth Street, and an apron will allow fire trucks to exit onto Pine Avenue.

This initiative aligns with the city's plans to develop a new City Hall and police station on the same block, enhancing municipal collaboration. Fire Chief Don Waller emphasized the importance of joint planning to optimize costs and facility maintenance. Regular updates on the station’s progress are available on the fire district’s website.
