Compass Health soon opens its Marc Healing Center

Snohomish, WALocal News

Compass Health is advancing its Broadway Campus Redevelopment in Everett, with Phase II beginning with the demolition of the Bailey Building. The new Marc Healing Center will feature a 16-bed evaluation unit, a crisis triage center, and outpatient behavioral health services to cater to the region's needs. CEO Tom Sebastian emphasized the importance of community involvement, which has been critical in raising funds through a $14 million capital campaign. The facility aims to provide an alternative to local emergency departments for adults facing mental health crises, allowing them to stabilize in a supportive environment. Local and state governments have recognized the project’s importance, investing in its development.

The center is named in honor of Marcelene Lowes, who has dedicated 40 years to helping vulnerable populations. Contributions from local foundations and individuals underscore the community's commitment to improving behavioral healthcare. Together, these efforts aim to create a brighter future for mental health services in Northwest Washington.
