Monroes new City Hall formally opens Sept. 22

Snohomish, WALocal News

Monroe’s new City Hall at 806 W. Main St. is set to open on Sept. 22, enhancing public services through significant renovations. Construction commenced in late 2023 to remodel the facility and create a dedicated space for the Monroe Municipal Court, which will move from its temporary location at 769 Village Way in October.

Key features of the revamped building include an expanded foyer, secure customer service windows, and new council chambers designed for increased seating capacity. Mayor Geoffrey Thomas expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating it creates a more efficient and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. The community is invited to an Open House on Oct. 31, which will be part of the Downtown Trick-or-Treat event. Increased parking and improved outdoor walking paths further enhance accessibility to the new City Hall.

The temporary City Hall at Sky River Medical Center will close on Sept. 19, marking the transition to the newly renovated facility. This project reflects Monroe's commitment to improving public service infrastructure for its residents.
