High school students have little time left to send 911 essay

Snohomish, WALocal News

High school students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to submit essays of 500 words or less on the topic "Reflections of 9/11" by 9:11 a. m. on September 5. This contest, hosted by a local organization, emphasizes originality by prohibiting the use of AI in essay writing. The winner will not only receive a cash prize but will also read their essay at the Monumental Talks event scheduled for September 11 in Everett.

This event commemorates the anniversary of 9/11, allowing students to reflect on its significance. For any inquiries regarding the contest, Dan Matthews can be contacted at 425-422-3105. Essays should be submitted to hartleymansion@gmail. com before the deadline. The contest aims to engage students in meaningful dialogue about a pivotal moment in American history.

Such initiatives foster critical thinking and personal reflection among youth.
