Ninth Annual A Night To Remember, A Time To Act

Snohomish County will host its ninth annual event, "A Night To Remember, A Time To Act," on August 28, 2025, to honor individuals lost to overdose and promote recovery resources. The event will occur at Snohomish County Plaza, starting with a resource fair at 5 p. m. , showcasing local organizations that support addiction recovery. A candlelight vigil will begin at 6:15 p.

m. , inviting attendees to bring photos of loved ones for remembrance. This year’s program will include a panel discussion addressing recovery housing challenges and solutions. The vigil was initiated nearly a decade ago by two mothers, Cathi Lee and Debbie Warfield, after losing their sons to overdose, aiming to provide vital resources to families. Immediate transportation to detox services will be available courtesy of Courage to Change.

The event will also be livestreamed for those unable to attend. Additional resources can be found through local organizations and support lines, emphasizing the community's commitment to addressing substance use disorders.
