Twin brothers in harrowing police chase to Snohomish face trial soon

Snohomish, WALocal News

Identical twins Corey J. Taylor and Richard C. Taylor are scheduled for trial on August 22, facing multiple charges stemming from a high-speed police chase in Snohomish. The pursuit began on June 4 when a Monroe officer recognized their vehicle, connected to Corey, who had outstanding warrants. After fleeing police, Corey fired several shots at deputies, striking a patrol car, which escalated the situation.

The chase reached speeds of nearly 100 mph in residential areas, endangering public safety. Ultimately, police managed to ram their vehicle, leading to the twins' arrest as they attempted to escape on foot. Each brother faces serious charges, including first-degree assault and drive-by shooting, with bail set at $1 million. They both pleaded not guilty at their arraignments in late June, indicating a contested legal battle ahead. This case underscores ongoing concerns about violent crime and public safety in the region.
