Suspect steals Everett firetruck, runs amok damaging things, no injures

On July 18, 2025, a suspect stole a fire engine from the 2900 block of Hoyt Avenue in Everett during a medical emergency response. The suspect drove recklessly, causing extensive damage to vehicles and landscaping across five locations before fleeing on foot. The Everett Police received multiple reports of collisions, including a notable incident where the fire engine struck ten parked cars. Responding officers established a containment area and conducted a K-9 search, but the suspect remains unidentified. Fortunately, no injuries occurred during the chaos.

The stolen fire engine, a 2018 Pierce Enforcer Pumper, suffered severe damage and was impounded for evidence collection. To ensure continuous emergency response, a reserve fire apparatus has been placed into service. The Everett Police are actively investigating the theft and urge anyone with information to come forward.
