Snohomish County Invites Public to Climate Resilience Open House on July 30

Snohomish County is set to host a Climate Resilience Open House on July 30, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 p. m. at Mariner High School. The event will educate residents on climate impacts, including hotter summers and flooding, and gather input for the Communitywide Climate Resiliency Plan. Attendees can participate in interactive educational stations and enter to win emergency preparedness supplies.

Spanish interpretation will be available, and those unable to attend can provide feedback via an online survey. Molly Beeman, Office of Energy & Sustainability Manager, stated that community voices are crucial for developing a plan that meets shared needs. The Communitywide Climate Resiliency Plan will focus on equitable responses to climate risks, guiding future investments in adaptation and resilience. This initiative reflects the county's commitment to environmental equity and community engagement. The open house will facilitate collaboration between residents, businesses, and local organizations.
