Edie worked diligently for decades to secure federal recognition for the Duwamish Tribe and was pivotal in Shoreline's incorporation as a city. Her efforts as an activist, mentor, and community leader have left a lasting impact on many. The Shoreline Historical Museum expressed gratitude for the opportunity to document her living history in her final year.

Edie's legacy is characterized by her kindness, focus, and deep care for her community and family. Her contributions to local governance and community enhancement underscore her importance in Shoreline's history. She will be honored and remembered by those who knew her.
