Edie worked diligently for decades to secure federal recognition for the Duwamish Tribe and was pivotal in Shoreline's incorporation as a city. Her efforts as an activist, mentor, and community leader have left a lasting impact on many. The Shoreline Historical Museum expressed gratitude for the opportunity to document her living history in her final year.
