Three webinars set for federal workers to learn about Washington benefits and reemployment

The Employment Security Department of Washington state is co-hosting three invaluable webinars for federal workers facing layoffs or furloughs. Scheduled for March 20, April 30, and May 29, 2025, these sessions will run from 10 a. m. to noon, offering critical support during uncertain times. The webinars will address essential topics such as how to file for unemployment benefits, healthcare options, and expanding job skills through training programs.

Attendees will also gain access to career guidance and job search assistance at no cost. This initiative reflects the state's commitment to responding rapidly to significant workforce reductions, collaborating with local and state agencies to offer comprehensive support. Partners in this effort include WorkSource, Local Workforce Development Boards, and the Washington State Labor Council. By participating, federal workers will be better equipped to navigate the challenges posed by potential job loss.
