Shoreline, WALocal News

Sound Transit announces an online open house starting July 22, 2025, to provide updates on the Stride Bus Rapid Transit project. Construction will commence in August 2025 at the Bus Operations and Maintenance Facility in Canyon Park, with further work on the Stride 3 line on SR 522 planned for late 2025. The project features three new station locations: Shoreline South/148th, 15th Ave NE, and 30th Ave NE. Planned improvements include roadway widening for bus lanes, upgraded utilities, and stormwater management systems. The Stride program will introduce three bus lines, S1, S2, and S3, which will replace existing ST Express lines.

This construction aims to enhance public transit options and support better navigation for passengers and commuters. Enhanced transit connectivity is crucial for regional development and may influence future transportation policies. The initiative underscores Sound Transit's commitment to addressing local transit needs efficiently.
