Temporary closures of N 145th Street and I-5 ramps begin July 28, 2025

Shoreline, WALocal News

The City will implement a series of construction closures affecting N 145th Street and I-5 ramps from July 28 to September 17, 2025, with a significant two-week closure of the 145th Street overpass. Crews aim to enhance traffic flow by opening a second lane on the northbound off-ramp while installing a new roundabout. Once the closures conclude, the roundabout will operate in a single-lane configuration, with the east side of the overpass remaining signalized until the end of 2025. Signed detours will guide drivers along N 155th and N 130th Streets, maintaining access on other nearby routes. The City underscores the need for safety, advising drivers to remain vigilant and slow down as they navigate the altered roadways.

A “Roundabout Ready” event scheduled for July 22, 2025, will allow attendees to experience a roundabout simulator and learn about the 145th Street Interchange Project. Last year’s extended closure for utility infrastructure updates had already prompted travelers to adjust their routes, and officials appreciate their patience. The City’s efforts are focused on improving traffic safety and efficiency in the area.
