Shoreline City Manager to appoint Pool Facility Advisory Committee

Shoreline, WALocal News

Shoreline's City Manager is forming a Pool Facility Advisory Committee to include 12 to 14 community members for discussions from September 2025 to February 2026. The committee's role involves reviewing pool designs, purposes, costs, and funding models, ultimately providing recommendations to the City Manager. This input will guide the City Manager's proposal to the City Council about placing a funding measure on the November 2026 ballot. Meetings will take place at Shoreline City Hall on Tuesday evenings, with members receiving a $50 stipend for each meeting attended. In addition to community members, representatives from the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services/Tree Board and the Shoreline School District will participate.

Applications are due by 5:00 PM on July 28, 2025, and no prior committee experience is necessary. This initiative aims to engage a diverse range of community voices in shaping the future of local recreation facilities. The outcome will significantly influence the potential development of a new pool facility in Shoreline.
