Seattle, WALocal News

A man who fell from a tree was rescued in Kitsap County after being lost in the woods for four to five days. Search and rescue teams found him around 7 a. m. Saturday after a nearby resident heard his cries for help and called 911. The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the man had become disoriented and wandered into the woods after receiving a ride to the end of a road.

He explained to rescue crews that he was attempting to take a shortcut through the forest when he fell. After the rescue, he was transported to a hospital for evaluation, and the extent of his injuries remains unknown. This incident underscores the dangers of navigating unfamiliar terrain, especially in wooded areas. Local authorities encourage individuals to remain aware of their surroundings and avoid shortcuts that may lead to hazardous situations. The collaborative effort included multiple search and rescue teams, demonstrating the community's commitment to safety.
