CVS Pharmacy to rebrand 20 Bartell Drugs locations in Pacific Northwest acquisition move

Seattle, WALocal News

CVS Pharmacy plans to rebrand 20 Bartell Drugs locations in the Pacific Northwest as it moves forward with its acquisition strategy. The transition to CVS will occur once the deal, which involves 64 stores, is finalized. CVS is evaluating the needs of Rite Aid customers who will be shifting to CVS as their community pharmacy. The company aims to preserve the shopping experience that Bartell Drugs customers have grown to love by continuing to offer local products. To support this transition, CVS will also hire additional team members.

Current Bartell employees will be given priority for available roles at CVS. CVS operates 70 locations across Idaho, Oregon, and Washington and seeks to ensure seamless service during this change. The acquisition reflects CVS's strategy to expand its presence in the region.
