Vroom! Ph revs up Capitol Hill Vietnamese coffee ambitions with new auto row-inspired cafe

Seattle, WALocal News

Phê opened its doors this month in Capitol Hill, Seattle, introducing a mix of Vietnamese coffee and brunch favorites. The cafe is located at 721 E Pine, in a space that has remained largely unoccupied for nearly a decade. Owners Kim Thy Hang and Phuong Le aim to elevate the local coffee culture with their ambitious offerings, including signature banana pudding matcha lattes and traditional dishes like pho and bò kho. The cafe's design features a minimalist, industrial-chic aesthetic, enhancing the customer experience. Previously, the location struggled to attract tenants after the demolition of the old 15th Ave Garage.

Phê stands out in a competitive market, where Tiny Bean Espresso also seeks to fill unique spaces but focuses solely on coffee. The cafe’s diverse menu includes sweets like xôi and sweet potato crème brûlée. Phê's arrival is a notable development in the ongoing Pike/Pine redevelopment, promising to enrich the Capitol Hill dining scene.
