Man accused of repeatedly making angry, threatening calls to north Seattle school

A 59-year-old man was arrested for felony harassment after making threatening phone calls to staff at St. John Catholic School in north Seattle. Over two days, he repeatedly contacted the school and used aggressive language, expressing anger about past family events. School officials, worried for their safety, called 911 on Tuesday morning. The man also reached out to another facility in Shoreline, where he made similar threatening statements.

Officers determined that his behavior was escalating and developed probable cause for an arrest. SWAT officers located him later that day at his home in Edmonds and took him into custody. His actions raised significant concern among school staff, highlighting the potential dangers of harassment. The incident underscores the importance of swift police response to threats against educational institutions.
